Main complaint would be the unnecessary fragrance that I find pretty strong. Although not a gross scent, kind of like a floral/melon-y/perfume-y vibe (bit more mature lady perfume-y than I’d choose myself), I try to keep fragranced facial products to a minimum due to potential irritation. This Mika Ella Snail Recovery Cream is delightful all around. First, it looks good enough to eat, almost like a lemon custard. It does have a floral scent, which may bother some, but I am pretty tolerant. The consistency is a gel like cream, and a little goes a long way. I use it in the morning after a vitamin C serum. What I like most is that this cream doesn’t kill the glow you get from vitamin C. It only adds to it. Even when the moisture sinks in, you are still left with glow that is not at all greasy looking. Years ago, I tried Korean snail mucin when it first hit the scene here and it was a sticky product that I didn’t care for. I am glad now I revisited this ingredient. For this cream to contain 92% snail mucin, I have to conclude that formulas have improved because this product is not tacky at all. Another moisture-delivering additive in this cream that I like is squalane. I am hoping that, with continued use, I will see some lightning of dark spots. But for now I am happy with the all-day moisture benefits. Highly recommend Mika Ella Snail Recovery Cream to anyone who enjoys using snail mucin as well as for those curious about it.

I’ve always wanted to try the snail cream and I finally got one. The texture is good, but I’ve noticed that the cream doesn’t adsorb into the skin as quickly as I would want it, and it does leave that sticky effect, which I’m not a big fan of. I won’t take the star off for that because this cream works great. It also smells nice. This cream moisturizes my skin and makes it look younger, brighter and glowy! I will keep using it.

I used this cream after using an essence and serum and loved how beautifully it absorbed into the skin. There weren’t any strong smells or tingling. It absorbed beautifully but didn’t leave a greasy finish. My skin is sensitive and a tad oily and I had no adverse reactions. I highly recommend it!

So the price point is about $20. I was super skeptical about this. I have never tried snail face products before. I thought it would be slimy. This stuff is great. It is lightweight and insanely moisturizing.,it absorbs instantly. And not slimy at all! I love the scent. But I could see it being kinda strong for some. A little will go a long way. So just a small amount is all you would need. I really am impressed by this stuff.

I didn’t know how I would feel about the snail ingredient in the cream. But you really can’t tell except that that’s on the container. I have been using it for a few DAYS and my daughter told me today some of my dark spots are starting to fade, I hadn’t said it out loud, but I was thinking the same thing. Dark spots not your issue? Snail mucin is for many different skin issues including hydration, skin regeneration, elasticity, as well as soothing and calming skin.I followed the instructions and started with a patch test, once I got an all clear, I put the snail mucin on a clean face, personally I mix with vitamin c and sometimes retinol or hyaluronic acid, mix it together and put it on my face then follow up with moisturizer. Very simple, I wish I knew about this stuff sooner.

Mika Ella is a Canadian company that brings Korean Skincare products to the US and CA. This product is 92% Snail Mucin, which apparently comes from annoyed snails. So it’s not vegan, but since you’re not actually eating the snail, no harm no foul? It’s said to contain hyaluronic acid, allantoin, antioxidants, and other goodies.It appears that Mika Ella is a “white label”, meaning that they work with other companies to produce their products. Since these are Korean companies, the products will have to meet stringent manufacturing and quality regulations. So all good there.Price is comparable to other Snail Mucin creams on Amazon. I’d prefer to save the money and just have annoyed snails crawl across my face, but that isn’t really practicable. So instead, I’ll just use this 5 star product.

The one issue I have (and why it’s getting 4 stars) is the fragrance. It’s strong and smells like an old lotion that I can’t place. I’m very picky when it comes to scented skincare products. I’ll still get use out of this, but I’ll only be using it about 2 times a week. I ALWAYS patch test, too. Certain products and ingredients will make my face red. This didn’t do that at all. I left it on for about 4-5 hours and no redness at all. I don’t have super sensitive skin, it’s just certain ingredients I have reactions to, so I always play it sage by patch testing. All in all, it’s a decent product. But if you don’t like fragrances skincare products, this may not be for you. I would still recommend if you want to try out a snail mucin product that isn’t slimy.

I cannot get over the scent of this cream. It is terrible and reminds me of the combination between a perfume that is too old and a car air freshener. It bothers me so much that I cannot use this product, even on my hands or feet.The texture is actually quite nice and it dries on the skin very well. It makes me question the 92% snail mucin because it is not slimy at all.Assuming neither cream is on sale, get the Cosrx version for $5 more. At the time of my review, the Mika Ella cream is listed at $20.79 USD and the Cosrx cream is listed on sale for 46.8% off at $13.30 USD. This is a no-brainer for me.

I was a little nervous about using this because the manufacturer is “guangzhou aifujia biotechnology co. ltd” and Guangzhou is in China not Korea even though in multiple places this product says it’s Korean skincare. On top of that the packaging isn’t very luxurious looking compared to other brands of snail mucin, it has a very matte paper feel and the plastic container inside also doesn’t feel very luxurious.Despite that I was still willing to give this a try because the new apartment I just moved into is a bit dryer than my last home and at the time of writing this it is summer in Texas which gives me very dry skin and I know snail mucin is great for hydration.I used it both with my regular skincare routine and on it’s own and it has made a pretty great addition. It has a very thick heavy consistency on it and I put it on at the very last part of my skin care regimen and when it settles my face feels supple and moisturized and in an hour or two it is almost completely absorbed. No break outs or bad reactions but I do think it’s best to patch test before using it.

It leaves a slight sticky residue the way most water-based moisturizers seem to do, and after a few hours my skin was dry again.I do like it though and will use it as a nice day cream. If you have oily skin or skin prone to breakouts, this might work well given it’s gentle and non-greasy. While obviously not vegan, the packaging does say that this product is not tested on animals.

I am very impressed with this moisturizer, I love the benefits of snail mucin and can feel the moisturized difference in my face after consistently wearing this at night for months. I have a sensitive face and even with the strong fresh, almost a sunscreen-ish scent, my face has not had any issues with breakouts on my face (other than once a month). The moisturizer is not sticky and kind of thin with a cooling feeling to your face, right after application. Your skin will feel very moisturized and silky smooth. The moisturizer sinks into my skin perfectly and leaves me with a healthy glow to it. My skin has definitely improved since using this moisturizer. I absolutely love this face cream!

Good price point. Yellow colored cream that smells pleasant (smell does not linger long after applied). Makes skin very soft and smooth. I use this as a final step in my skincare routine, after washing, toning and treating with serum. It comes in a plastic jar which is kind of nice because it’s less likely to break but at the same time makes it seem a tad lower end. I would highly recommend.

I bought this a couple months ago after it being recommended to me by a coworker. I’m a 41 year old male and do not normally use any skin care products on my face.I had casually mentioned something about having bags under my eyes and also some small wrinkles from smiling. Nothing out of the ordinary, but new for me.So I tried this cream and wasn’t really expecting much if anything to change at least not right away, but even after the first application I saw a difference! I now use it once a day in the morning when I get ready, it only takes a few seconds to put it on and it lasts throughout the day. I will be buying more when I get through this jar and I highly recommend it if you have wrinkles on your face or hands!
